*Some photo highlights from 2018 below.
In the fall of 2017, my little photography business took a huge leap in growth and I found my paper and pencil system of keeping track of clients, contact information, and payments starting to feel overwhelming and inefficient. It worked well in the baby stages of Rachel Rumple Photography, and most importantly only cost me $15 for a planner and a pencil, but I knew I was outgrowing it.
In 2017, I was still teaching full time but found myself booked every weekend day from September through mid-November and I was also gaining new clients who I did not know or have a connection to before photography! I felt that, legally, I needed to step up my game with better contracts, official invoicing, and trackable communication.
So, to start of 2018 right, I began the search for an online client relationship management (CRM) system that could do it all.
There is a pretty popular system out there that a lot of people in my photographer communities use. However, at the time, that particular system was still far out of my price range. Plus, I received a lot of pushy sales calls and emails from them and this turned me off.
That’s the same time I started seeing a few people here and there mention “Dubsado” on my photography forums. After a quick google search, I found my immediately hooked in with their unlimited time introductory trial. I was able to try Dubsado out with 3 clients, from the beginning of the job to the end of the job, rather than being limited to the two-week trial so many other companies provided.
After my trial, I made the easy decision to sign up. I would call myself a surface-level user. There are tons of features that I just do not use at this time. This is partly because my business is not large enough to warrant using them. Partly it’s due to my desire to learn all of the features. However, even though I don’t use or understand everything Dubsado has to offer doesn’t mean I can’t use the platform, and I appreciate that. I get 100% of the value of Dubsado has to offer me because it serves me in exactly the way I need at this time. Plus, I know and love that as I grow in my skills and in business, Dubsado will grow with me.
If you’ve spent any time, or are looking now, for a CRM I’m sure you’ve already heard mentioned that Dubsado’s customer service is excellent. Well, let me repeat it! They are excellent! They are personable and quick. They also put out extremely helpful videos, webinars, articles, and email updates. Anything you want to learn about Dubsado is readily available.
