Was I completely terrible about blogging in 2019? Yes. Facts. So, that means that at the time this blog is posted, little Miss Ellie has not only made her grand entrance into the world but she is like 9 months old and thriving!

What’s not to love about these Indiana Dunes maternity photos?!

Nothing. The answer is nothing. On the contrary, there is absolutely everything to love about this gorgeous maternity session. Congratulations Horjus family. You are beautiful people, inside and out, and we love you lots!

I do live in Colorado Springs but frequently travel back to Indiana to visit friends and family. I grew up near this lakeshore. My parents had a family photo session at these dunes back in 1999 and we all wore khaki pants and matching shirts. I wish I could link those photos here!

Fun fact, Indiana Dunes is now a National Park! It was designated as the 61st and latest National Park in February 2019, only 7 months before these Indiana Dunes maternity photos were taken in September 2019.

It was designated a National Lakeshore in 1961 by Kennedy. I don’t really know what that means other than the dunes were protected from industrial development and thank goodness they were!
