Personal | Rumple Christmas | Hicksville, OH
It started snowing in the middle of the night and didn’t stop for about 24 hours. It made for a beautifully white Christmas day, but made travel less-than-ideal. I will say, it was nice to drive amongst other people who actually know how to drive in the snow (I’m looking at you, Colorado). Despite the snowy, slick roads, we made it safely to Hicksville, Ohio for Christmas with the Rumples. Our time together consisted of gifts, playing games, conversation, laughter, seeing Star Wars, and just enjoying our time being together.
Joshua didn’t end up the wonderful man he is by accident. My in-laws are some of the kindest, most loving people I have ever met. They are quick to see and accept other people for who they are and slow to judgment. Kris is always ready to welcome others into her home, feed them, and generally make sure they are taken care of. Josh gets his sensitive heart and learned it was okay to cry from his dad, Jeff. Kelly was totally okay with me holding Gabriel the day he was born, even though Josh and I had only been dating for 3 months, and has been nothing but a good friend since that day. Ryan treats Kelly and the kids so well.
I say all that and then this post is almost exclusively pictures of my adorable niece and nephew, Eden and Gabe. Kelly and Ryan are great parents and are raising two wonderful (and totally adorable) kids. Gabe sometimes writes and mails me letters, and he is always game to wrestle me to the ground or to snuggle on my lap. Miss Eden joined the family last May and is full of personality. It’s already evident that this little human has passion and spunk and she brings so much joy and laughter to all our lives!
Rumple family, thank you for welcoming me into your life over 8 years ago and into your family 5 1/2 year ago! Thanks for loving me well and for always supporting Josh and me. We love you!

Our daughter-n-law does amazing pictures and makes everyone feel very comfortable and listens to what you want. She did a season for our friends family pics while they were back here in Ohio and they absolutely loved them and had so much fun.
