Engagement sessions are so fun to me! Typically, couples are more than happy to get in front of the camera and to focus on each other for an hour or so. It can understandably be awkward to get in front of the camera, so I have a lot of tips and tricks up my sleeve to help people relax. However, I didn’t need to use any of them with Erin and Keith! They were so relaxed, and it comes through in their photos. I believe anyone can be photogenic if they just relax in their own skin, follow my prompts and directions, and express who they are to one another. And that’s exactly what these two lovely people did!
Erin and Keith’s love story is one of persistence and patience over time. It’s not mine to share, but I will say that it could probably be turned into the plotline of a sweet rom-com and I would totally watch that movie!
Erin also brought her little niece to the session so that she didn’t have to go shopping (boring!) for the engagement party that was to follow later that afternoon. What a great Aunt! Little Miss Alissa was a trooper and so patient while Erin and Keith had their photos taken. Plus, she got to be in a few photos of her own and practice for her important flower girls duties next October!
Erin and Keith, I wish you all the best as you return to California for another year of school. I hope your studies go well and that planning a wedding long distance goes well. Thanks so much for your encouragement, kind words, and for just being YOU. It was absolutely my joy to photograph your love for one another and am truly honored that you chose me from amongst so many talented professionals here in the Springs. You are such lovely people and wish you nothing but happiness and the best in your lives together!
