Erin | Mommy & Me | Ute Valley Park

My last Ute Valley session for the season (too many snakes in summer – no thank you!) was a lovely little Mommy & Me mini session with Erin and her three delightful girls!

Erin was one of the first people to put her faith in me to capture family photos back in the fall of 2015. She asked for extended family photos and it was my first large session. With 10 people, 5 of them little people, to organize and photograph, I was a nervous mess (though I hope it did not come across to them!). My skills have come a long way in three years, but it would not have come as far without the trust and encouragement I have received from people like Erin along the way!

I am in LOVE with this Mommy & Me session! A mother with her daughters is a special thing! I adore the way Erin speaks to her girls with such kindness, patience, and joy. I did not once need to prompt for smiles, and it’s so evident how much these girls love and enjoy one another. Erin also did a great job coordinating their outfits. All of these things combined made for a perfect session that had me smiling the whole time I was editing. I waited to deliver the gallery on Mother’s Day as a special surprise for Erin and could barely wait to send them off!

Erin and girls, thanks for choosing me again to photograph your beautiful, life memories. Thanks for trusting and believing in me when I barely believed in myself and was just testing the waters of a new skill and passion. Thanks for coming to the session with great attitudes and a willingness to follow my directing and guidance. Thanks, most of all, for being you! I wish you a very happy Mother’s Day, Erin! You are a wonderful mama and your girls are so very blessed to have you!
