These mother and daughter photos of Giovanna and Cristina were taken in downtown Colorado Springs at Grace and St. Stephens Episcopal Church! What a gorgeous location in our little downtown, don’t you think?
Both mother and daughter are so sweet! They are kind and generous and each uniquely talented. Giovanna makes delicate porcelain jewelry and other small items. You can check out her earrings, rings, necklaces, and tiny succulent pots on her website. You can also keep up to date with her latest creations over on Instagram or Facebook. She often pops up at a variety of sales in town too, like the Womxn of the Future pop-ups that happen every couple months.
Giovanna is also a talented painter. The detail and craft it takes to make tiny porcelain jewelry is also evident in her pinturas. The best word I can find to describe the prints of her paintings is lovely. They most often feature women set in whimsical, natural settings.
As of the writing of this blog, you can find Tare Handmade goods online linked above or at Eclectic Co. downtown!
I also have to talk about Cristina! She’s been a ballerina for most of her young life and is still loving it and growing in her talent! I also had the privilege to photograph her dancing on pointe before this session (coming soon!) and she was also one of the models at my Styled Shoot a few weeks ago. I am so grateful she was willing to share her beautiful talent with me not once, but twice within a few weeks!
Giovanna and Cristina, I am so grateful you’re a part of the Colorado Springs small business community of strong and wonderful women! You add so much beauty to the community, both through your art forms and also just by being you.
Thank you for allowing me the privilege to take mother and daughter photos of you!
