Chances are pretty good that you’re a wonderful person if your name is Katherine or Josh. I married my own wonderful Josh, I photographed this Catherine and Josh getting married at Boettcher Mansion last summer, I photographed my cousin Paul marrying his best friend Katherine a few weeks ago, and now I had the privilege of photographing a gorgeous wedding weekend for the new Mr. & Mrs. Josh and Katherine DeVane! All these people have much more in common than just their names. They give off similar first impressions as kind, generous, gentle, and patient people who have ready smiles and an ability to share their joy with others in a meaningful way.

Katherine and Josh are those beautiful people and they married in an intimate ceremony at Chautauqua Park in Boulder, CO. They said their vows in the middle of a circle of their friends and family. It was truly a special ceremony full of personal meaning.

The day following the ceremony, Katherine and Josh dressed again in their wedding attire for more wedding fun at Rocky Mountain National Park. They privately exchanged words with one another and then signed their marriage license amongst a few of their closest friends. Next, we drove to the alluvial fan (created by a flood in July 1982) for a few portraits with their friends followed by their bridal portraits. Everything in Katherine and Josh’s weekend was packed with meaning and the alluvial fan was no exception. Josh shared that he brought Katherine to hike the alluvial fan when she first moved to Colorado.

Katherine and Josh, it was a joy to celebrate your wedding weekend with you! I wish you both the best in life as you adventure forth and continue to grow in love for one another.
