Some of my favorite sessions happen when I get the opportunity to shoot on private property. These Florissant family photos were no exception. I love that my clients end up with photos no one else will ever have. Courtney, along with her husband and daughter, drove up from Texas to spend the week vacationing at her parents’ property.
Nestled into the mountains, this family enjoys peace and quiet with the beauty surrounding them. The thing about being in the mountains is that you’re IN the mountains and not so much in front of grand mountain vistas. However, it’s still a gorgeous location to photograph and hike amongst the pine trees, rocks, and aspens.
From a photographer’s perspective, I can tell Courtney and her family have been in front of the camera a lot. They were comfortable and natural and didn’t express any complaints. Even their young daughter, in more photos than anyone else, was a trooper. I absolutely love photographing families and this family made my job all that more enjoyable! There was plenty of laughter, a couple of Colorado history lessons from Rusty, and lots of wiggling and dancing during this family session!
Courtney and family – Thank you for trusting me to capture memories of your family while you were visiting Florissant! Family photos are so important and I’m glad you take the time to capture them on a regular basis. I don’t know how you found me all the way from Texas, but I am so glad you did and that you reached out. Thank you for your kind words and for being such lovely humans. It was a complete joy to work with your family and I wish you nothing but the best in life. I hope our paths cross again if you visit Colorado and need photos again in a few years!
If you enjoyed viewing these Florissant family photos, you’ll probably also enjoy this family session from Mueller State park in Divide taken last fall.
